Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival 2023: Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival 2023, arts festival designed to showcase the work of local and emerging artists, photographers, and filmmakers and engage the community through a diverse calendar of cultural and creative programming, now is calling for entries.

Short description

Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival (RAKFAF) is a nonprofit community arts festival designed to showcase the work of local and emerging artists, photographers, and filmmakers and engage the community through a diverse calendar of cultural and creative programming.

The Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival was established in March 2013 and is the Foundation’s signature arts and culture event annually. The Festival is a nonprofit initiative designed to showcase the talent and work of local and international artists, photographers, and filmmakers in a community setting and to support the development of the arts in Ras Al Khaimah. Since 2019, the Festival has presented its fine art, photography, and sculptures as a large-scale, outdoor visual arts exhibition in the recently restored Al Jazirah Al Hamra Heritage Village. Other regular Festival programming includes film screenings, tours, and public art workshops. For the eleventh annual Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival (RAKFAF), the organizers ask artists, filmmakers, photographers, and poets to consider their relationship with the landscape, plants and animals, fellow human beings, our planet, and the universe.

The organizers are interested in diverse voices and practices that interpret the theme “Nature” in unique, compelling ways. What is our place within nature? How does nature empower creativity? How can art converse with nature?

There are different submission categories:
