Verzasca FOTO Festival Awards 2021: Nera di Verzasca Prize: Verzasca Foto Festival recently has started accepting entries for its Nera di Verzasca 2021, international competition and an annual event, inviting all amateur and professional photographers to participate.

Short description

Verzasca Foto Festival is accepting entries for its Nera di Verzasca 2021 international annual photography competition and invites all amateur and professional photographers to participate.

The Verzasca Foto Festival is an annual event that offers open air exhibitions, photo nights with live music, meetings and portfolio reviews by professional photographers.

The festival aims to promote emerging international photographers and to support visual arts in Southern Switzerland, by giving free space through connection and dialogues with nature, offering access to different forms of expression and ways of visual storytelling.

Submission requirements:

The choice of the theme is open. Every participant can submit a personal photo story with minimum 3 and maximum 10 images.

Both analogical (scanned from negative or slide) and digital images are allowed. Participants must own the original files.

Who may enter?

The contest is open to all amateur and professional photographers who have reached the age of 18 by the 1st of February 2021, regardless of nationality or residence.

Prize:

One 1st place prize winner will be awarded 2,000 Swiss Francs, a solo exhibition from the 2nd September to 5th October 2021 in Sonogno, Switzerland and will be invited to the 2021 Verzasca Foto Festival. The organizers will also invite the ten finalists to project their work during the festival + free board and lodging during the four days of the festival (lodging is depending on the sanitary situation).

Entry fees:

Entry fee is CHF 25 Swiss Francs.
