Videoex, the Switzerland's largest festival dedicated to experimental film and video and now is calling for entries inviting you to submit your digital or analog work for the International & Swiss competition 2026 with purpose to promote video and experimental film works worldwide.
Short description
Videoex is Switzerland's largest festival dedicated to experimental film and video. Over the course of nine days, Videoex shows films and videos beyond conventional narrative cinema: experimental, visually surprising, conceptually unexpected or controversially political films and videos on the threshold between visual art and film.
Organiser are looking for experimental, innovative and progressive works that explore the possibilities of film as a medium, expanding the idea of film and cinema.
You can submit Experimental Film, Non-Fiction, Moving Image, Documentary, Essay Film, Animated Film, Music Videos.
Only works produced after after 1st October 2024 is accepted.
Each entry must be accompanied by a short synopsis in German, French, Italian or English. Participants may submit a maximum of 3 works.
Videoex 2026 will include an international and a swiss competition.
Who may enter?
The competition is open to anyone.
Prize:
The total value of the prizes is CHF 1500.
