World Design Impact Prize 2021 now is over!

World Design Impact Prize 2021: World Design Impact Prize 2021, organised by the World Design Organization now is calling for submissions, aimed to recognize industrial design-driven projects that have a positive impact on our social, economic, cultural, or environmental quality of life.

Short description

World Design Impact Prize (WDIP) was established in 2011 to honour and elevate industrial design driven projects that use design and/or design thinking to make a positive impact on our social, economic, cultural and/ or environmental quality of life.

Eligible projects must:

a. yield positive impact and reflect socially conscious design;
b. be industrial design driven and/or showcase innovative uses of industrial design;
c. demonstrate design thinking in the planning (participatory planning, co-design) as well in the design itself;
d. reflect the vision of WDO to create a world where design enhances our social, cultural, economic and environmental quality of life.

Following a public submission and nomination process, a multi-disciplinary panel of experts selects a shortlist for the Prize, which is then voted on by WDO’s member organizations.

The winner will be announced during the World Design Assembly in October 2021.
