World Lemur Festival Juried Art Exhibition: The Lemur Conservation Foundation holds a juried art contest, international competition in connection with our World Lemur Festival calling all artists, both professional and amateur, from any country to submit works depicting lemurs.
➜ Short description
Lemur Conservation Foundation (LCF) is now accepting submissions by artists who create works depicting lemurs.
The exhibition will be restricted to visual art mediums. This exhibition opportunity is open to all local, national, and international artists, professional and amateur, ages 14+.
Photographs of your original 2D and 3D art will be showcased in a digital exhibition. All works will be accepted for consideration, and the jury will select a portion of entries for the online exhibition on their website and social media platforms. Only the top two winning pieces (as determined by the jury) will be required to ship their original art to LCF's Myakka City reserve in Florida, United States.
Lemur biology, ecology, and/or conservation must be the central theme of the art submission. Contestants may only submit one, original piece for the exhibition.
Grand prize winners (first place, runner up, and community favorite) will be required to ship the original, winning art piece to the Lemur Conservation Foundation in Myakka City, Florida, the United States upon notification by the jury. Participants not able or willing to ship their original artwork will not be eligible to win.

➜ Two-dimensional (2D) art submissions may be a maximum of 38” x 30” (97cm x 76cm)
➜ Three dimensional (3D) art submissions may be a maximum of 12” x 12” x 38” (30cm x 30cm x 97cm)
➜ Accepted mediums: acrylic, airbrush, assemblage, charcoal, collage, digital art, encaustic, fabric art, fiber art, graphite, mixed media, oil, pen & ink, photography (traditional & digital), printmaking, screen printing, watercolor, and sculpture.
➜ Not valid: performing arts, music, films, movies, or animations.
➜ Who may enter?
The contest is open to artists, both professional and amateur, from any country. Artists must be 14 or older to submit an entry.
➜ Prize:
First place grand prize winner will receive $300 USD, the second place prize winner will receive $150 USD, and the community favorite prize winner will receive $100 USD.
