Budapest International Foto Awards: Budapest International Foto Awards, an inspirational community that recognises the power and influence of photography in shaping how we see the world, has been recently announced for entries inviting anyone residing anywhere in the world to participate.
➜ Short description
Budapest International Foto Awards is an international platform for photographers from all levels and genres to share their best images with the creative community in Hungary and Eastern Europe. We acknowledge the power of even a single photograph to greatly influence an audience, and how the artistic eye of the photographer behind the camera can interpret a scene in so many creative ways. We know that every image has a story to tell, and this is the place to tell it!
BIFA’s mission is to promote the work of professional and emerging international photographers to the fast-growing artistic community of Budapest, putting them in the spotlight and providing them with a great platform to showcase their work.
Organiser encourages all photographers to participate–professional, amateur and student–to share their unique talent and vision with the world, and win prizes, awards, and recognition.
The BIFA winners is a part of a group exhibition in Hybridart Space which showcased the winning images of the first Budapest International Foto Awards. The exhibition comprised of 40 images, the 1st and 2nd place winners of each category.
➜ Submission requirements:
➜ Only digital submissions are permitted. Images must be saved as .jpg, at 72 dpi, and minimum 1000 pixels on the longest side. Each file can be no larger than 4 MB.
You may enter the same photograph into as many categories as you see fit. You can also submit as many entries in as many categories as you like. All photographs should be no older than 5 years.

The BIFA competition is open to anyone aged 18+ residing anywhere in the world.
➜ Prize:
BIFA Photographer of the Year (Selected from First Place Category Winners, Pro) will receive $3,000 of the cash prize and BIFA trophy.
BIFA New Talent of the Year (Selected from First Place Category Winners, Non-Pro) will receive $2,000 of the cash prize and BIFA trophy.
First Place Category Winners–Pro and Non-Pro will receive $200 of the cash prize.
Budapest International Foto Awards winners receive significant international publicity and exposure as well.
➜ Entry fees:
Entry fee for professionals entry cost $20 per single image and $30 per series (2-8 images with the same theme).
Entry fee for non-professionals entry cost $15 per single image and $20 per series (2-8 images with the same theme).
Entry fee for students entry cost $10 per single image and $15 per series (2-8 images with the same theme).
Entry fee for the Portfolio Category is $50.
