Apply for a One-Month Bogliasco Fellowship in Arts and Humanities
The Bogliasco Foundation is accepting applications for its Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 fellowships, offering artists and scholars from around the world a month-long residency in Italy with accommodation, meals and workspace provided.

The Bogliasco Foundation is accepting applications for its Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 Fellowships. Artists and scholars from around the world can apply for a one-month residency at the Foundation’s study centre in Bogliasco, near Genoa, Italy.
The Fellowships support new creative and scholarly work across the arts and humanities. Eligible disciplines include (Archaeology, Architecture, Classics, Dance, Film/Video, History, Landscape Architecture, Literature, Music, Philosophy, Public Humanities, Theater, and Visual Arts).
During their stay, Fellows receive accommodation, full board and a workspace or separate studio, depending on their discipline. The residency offers time to focus on a project while exchanging ideas with artists and scholars from different countries and fields.
Applicants should show significant achievement in their discipline, appropriate to their experience, and propose a meaningful new project. The Foundation also considers their ability to participate in a small, international and multilingual community. Students currently enrolled in a degree-granting programme are not eligible.
The application deadline is 1 December 2026 for the Fall 2027 residencies and 11 March 2027 for the Spring 2028 residencies.
Submission requirements
➜ Provide two reference letters, uploaded directly by the referees by the deadline; a third letter is optional.
➜ Upload a CV of no more than three pages and a one-page project description in English.
➜ Include three examples of work published, performed, exhibited or otherwise publicly presented, preferably within the past five years.
Eligibility
Artists and scholars of any nationality and age may apply if they can demonstrate significant achievement in their field. Applicants currently enrolled in a degree-granting programme are not eligible. Fellows need conversational English to participate in the international community. The Center cannot accommodate children.
Benefits
A one-month residency at the Bogliasco Center, including accommodation, full board and a workspace. Selected applicants may also receive a Special Fellowship with additional financial support, depending on eligibility and the award available.
Entry fees
$30 until one week before the relevant deadline; $45 during the final week. There is no residency fee.
