The 2024 Almenara Art Prize: The Almenara Collection recently has announced a call to artists for an online painting competition, The Almenara Art Prize, encouraging international participation in diverse genres, styles, mediums and substrates to participate.

Short description

The Almenara Collection announces a call to artists for its The 2024 Almenara Art Prize an online painting competition inviting those who wish to apply worldwide.

Organiser encourage the international participation in diverse genres, styles, mediums and substrates in the Figurative Painting: Hyperrealism, photorealism, contemporary realism, surrealism, imaginative realism, impressionism and plein air painting and any kind of representational painting.

Categories include Figurative, Portrait, Drawing, Landscape, Plein Air Painting and Still Life.

Oil, Pastel, Acrylic , watercolor, graphite, acrylic, charcoal, pencil, ink, colored pencils, gouache, tempera and all traditional mediums are accepted.

Work must be original work of the artist, produced sorely by the artist. There is no limit to the number of artworks you may enter and no size restrictions. Artworks can be for sale (Artists maintain 100% of sales price) or not. If they are not available for sale, they will not have options to be chosen for the acquisition awards.

No photography, digital or any other media. No digitally manipulated work, painted giclee prints or any other type of reproductions, no manipulated or painted over photos or prints.

Submission requirements:

➜ You can submit up to three photographs of the work. Photos must have between 1MB and 20 MB and must be sent in JPG format.

➜ You can send different images of the same entry, but at least one must show the whole painting.

➜ Please, submit good quality images of your artwork, so the details of the work can be seen. Organizer also encourages you to include an image of the artist standing with the work or how the work is framed as additional images to the main photograph of the whole painting.

Who may enter?

The 2024 Almenara Art Prize is open to all those who wish to apply worldwide.

Prize:

More than 27000€ in cash prize and other prizes will be awarded. Accepted artists, finalists and winners will be published on The Almenara Collection Website and on Instagram and Facebook.

Entry fees:

First entry cost 45€. Additional entries is 29€. Young Category entry is 29€.
