TransNatura 2025 International Nature Photo Contest is now open for entries!
The 12th edition of TransNatura International Nature Photo Contest 2025 has been recently announced by VADON Association inviting all amateur as well as professional, photographers from all over the world to participate.
Short description
The VADON Association recently has announced the 12th TransNatura International Nature Photo Contest.
The VADON („Wilderness”) Association is founded in the autumn of 2012 with the aim of designing and implementing projects based on natural values.
The goal of the TransNatura photography competition is to promote and support the importance of nature conservation and the protection of natural values through nature photography.
There are two competition categories for 2025:
➜ Wildlife — This category invites photographs that capture wild animals in their natural habitats. The images can be portraits, action shots, or everyday scenes showcasing animal behavior, beauty, and their role in nature. It is important that the photographs are taken without disturbing the animals or their natural environment.
➜ Nature and Landscapes — This category includes all images showcasing the beauty and diversity of nature, excluding animals. It covers impressive landscapes, forests, waters, plants, and natural phenomena. The aim is to show the wonders of nature and the harmony of an untouched world through photography.
A key requirement is that the images must be taken in natural habitats without disturbing wildlife. Only wild animals can be included, and photos of captive animals are not eligible.
The works received will be evaluated and decided upon by an international jury. A total number of seven competition prizes will be awarded. The results will be announced, and the exhibition will open on December 12, 2025.
Who may enter?
The competition is open to both amateur and professional photographers from around the world, with the exception of jury members and organizers.

Wildlife category:
➜ 1st Prize – 1,000 Euro
➜ 2nd Prize – 600 Euro
➜ 3rd Prize – 400 Euro
Nature and Landscapes category:
➜ 1st Prize – 1,000 Euro
➜ 2nd Prize – 600 Euro
➜ 3rd Prize – 400 Euro
Entry fees:
Participants can submit their first three photos for free. Additional images can be submitted for a fee of 3 euros per photo.
