FIBA Photo Contest 2025 is now open for entries!
To fulfill its cultural and sporting ambition, the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), whose role is to preserve and promote FIBA values and its cultural heritage, has decided to organise the 2025 edition of the FIBA Photo Contest inviting everyone regardless of age, nationality and country of residence to celebrate the passion, unity, and teamwork that define the sport of basketball.

FIBA Photo Contest 2025, international photography competition organized by International Basketball Federation (FIBA) invites everyone regardless of age, nationality and country of residence to participate with the best shots to celebrate the passion, unity, and teamwork that define the sport of basketball.
Now in its ninth edition, photographers and basketball lovers may submit their photos that best illustrate the theme “Dream Team”. Capture and share the emotions that basketball inspires in you.
The contest invites photographers from around the world, both amateur and professional, to capture the emotional essence of basketball through their lenses.
Each participant can submit up to three original digital photographs that reflect the bonds, friendships, and shared dreams that connect players, coaches, and fans alike.
The competition aims to highlight basketball not only as a sport but as a global language of cooperation, inclusion, and inspiration. Through the “Dream Team” theme, FIBA encourages participants to explore how teamwork extends beyond the court, illustrating the values of trust, perseverance, and collective effort. Photographers are invited to present creative and authentic stories that show how basketball unites communities, inspires youth, and fosters a sense of belonging that transcends borders.
Photos taken during FIBA Events, or a work product of a FIBA or FIBA Foundation designation or assignment will not be considered for the contest.
The Contest will be a unique opportunity for all keen photographers and basketball lovers to show their talents.
Winning images from the FIBA Photo Contest 2025 will be showcased across FIBA’s official media channels, publications, and exhibitions, providing worldwide exposure to talented photographers. In addition to celebrating artistic excellence, the contest reinforces FIBA’s commitment to promoting basketball culture and visual storytelling on a global scale. By blending the worlds of sports and photography, the competition serves as a platform for creative expression while honoring the human spirit behind every basketball “Dream Team.”
The winners will be announced in February 2026.
Submission requirements:
Mandatory elements for the pictures:
➜ Format: JPEG/JPG format.
➜ Minimum size: 4MB.
➜ Maximum size: 20MB.
➜ Minimum number of pixels: 5 million.
➜ Description (title, author, country of origin and a small caption).
➜ No text or description on the photo.
Drawings, illustrations, computer-made or assisted pictures are not permitted. The only alterations permitted is the modification of certain parameters (Saturation, contrast, sharpness, temperature of colours, balance of whites and colours) as well as eliminating noise.
Who may enter?
The contest is open to everyone regardless of age, nationality and country of residence.
Prize:
The top three winners receive photographic equipment vouchers (1st prize: CHF 2,500; 2nd: CHF 1,500; 3rd: CHF 1,000), publication in the FIBA Photo Book and on the official FIBA channels and a diploma, and the first-prize winner also gets travel & accommodation to serve as Official Photographer at the FIBA Open 2026 in Switzerland.
