Global Ability Photography Challenge (GAPC) 2026 is now open for entries!
The 5th Edition of the Global Ability Photography Challenge, India’s first and largest inclusive global photography competition, open and free to all persons with disabilities, has been recently announced for entries.
Short description
The Global Ability Photography Challenge (GAPC) 2026, hosted by Youth4Jobs and NotJustArt , in partnership with Adani GreenTalks, is a global photography competition for persons with disabilities and now is in its 5th edition.
Over the past four editions, GAPC has reached over 8 million people, inspired more than 50,000 individuals, and received entries from over 30 countries, with exhibitions held internationally, including in Japan and Dubai. GAPC continues to grow as a global platform that highlights talent, builds visibility, and creates opportunities for photographers with disabilities.
There is no specific theme. However, capturing stories of inclusion, dignity, resilience, hope, and the everyday lives of persons with disabilities is encouraged.
Participants can submit up to 3 images in any style of photography.
Entries will be judged on originality, storytelling, and visual impact. The top 20 selected photographs will be featured in a curated exhibition. Selected works may also be featured across media and global campaigns.
The exhibition will take place in Ahmedabad, India. Travel and accommodation will be covered for selected Indian winners and one international participant.
Submission requirements:
➜ Digital files must have a maximum size of 2000 pixels in either height or width, be saved as JPEG (.jpg) in RGB format, and be at least 4 MB per file.
➜ Toned black-and-white images such as sepia, selenium, or gold are accepted, as long as the essence of the image remains intact.
Who may enter?
ThSubmissions are free and open only to amateur and professional photographers with disabilities.
Prize:
The competition offers a total prize pool of ₹17 lakh. The 1st prize is ₹5,00,000, the 2nd prize is ₹3,00,000, the 3rd prize is ₹2,00,000, and the 4th to 10th prizes are ₹1,00,000 each. The top 10 winners will receive specially designed trophies, and all participants will receive certificates.
