The Theatrical Posters Armenia International Biennale (TPAM) 2026, recently announced for entries, stands as a prestigious global platform inviting the creative submissions of artists, designers, theatres, theatre groups, and organizations from all corners of the world.
Through its open call, the biennale invites participants to submit original theatrical posters that demonstrate artistic excellence, creativity, and strong conceptual thinking.
This unique event celebrates the art of theatrical poster design, offering a broad stage for the exhibition of innovative and captivating visual representations of the performing arts.
With categories spanning from traditional theatrical presentations, including spectacle, opera, and ballet, to broader performing arts such as music, dance, singing, and performance art, TPAM provides a comprehensive showcase of contemporary visual storytelling in the context of theatre and performance.
The event highlights how poster design continues to play a crucial role in the promotion of live performances, blending typography, imagery, and narrative into compelling visual identities.

Selected works are exhibited in Yerevan, offering participants valuable international exposure, networking opportunities, and professional recognition within the fields of graphic design and visual arts. With its strong emphasis on creativity, innovation, and artistic dialogue, the biennale has established itself as an important event for those interested in poster design, theatre promotion, and contemporary visual culture.
Submission requirements:
➜ Each applicant may submit up to 3 posters produced since May 2022. Animated posters won’t be accepted. The posters must be free from hate speech and any element that contradicts human rights. Self promotion, experimental or rejected posters (marked in entry form) will be evaluated separately as encouragment.
➜ The digital files should have the following specifications: 1200px on the longest side, RGB, 300 dpi, JPEG (high quality), not larger than 3MB.
➜ In case of languages other than English, please provide the English translation of the title in entry form.
Only in the case of posters shortlisted by the Pre-selection Committee, the participant will be asked to provide the high quality printable files with the following specifications: 84cm on the longest side, CMYK, 300 dpi, TIF, or printable high quality PDF. The costs of printing the posters for this year’s exhibition will be covered by the organizers.
Who may enter?
Open worldwide to artists, designers, theatres, theatre groups, and organisations, with up to three non-animated posters created between 2024-2026 that have not been previously submitted and comply with content standards.
Prize:
The biennale awards include 1 x Grand Prix and 2 x Best Poster Awards (without ranking), along with additional special awards, honorable mentions, and encouragement certificates.
Winners receive recognition at the official exhibition opening in Yerevan, inclusion in a printed catalogue, and international exposure, while shortlisted participants receive certificates and a digital catalogue, making the competition a significant opportunity for visibility and professional recognition in the global design and performing arts community.
