2026 Taiwan International Student Design Competition is now open for entries!

The Taiwan International Student Design Competition (TISDC) is a globally recognized international student design competition that invites emerging creatives from around the world to showcase innovative ideas through high-quality design work.

Short description

Taiwan International Student Design Competition 2026, a globally recognized international student design competition, has been recently announced for entries inviting students worldwide to participate.

As one of Asia’s leading design competitions for students, TISDC offers a professional and high-visibility opportunity for young designers to gain international recognition, strengthen their portfolios, and connect with global trends in creative industries.

The aim of this competitions for students is to encourage international creative design exchange, develop creative design talents, express the international image of Taiwan attaching great importance to creative design, and establish the international design status of Taiwan.

The theam of this year competition is “Resilience“, emphasizing the ability to adapt, recover, and grow stronger when facing challenges.

This theme highlights the importance of problem-solving, flexibility, and long-term sustainability in modern design practice, encouraging students to respond creatively to issues shaped by rapid technological change, environmental pressure, and shifting global conditions. Through this focus, the competition inspires participants to explore design as a strategic tool for positive transformation, supporting projects that demonstrate thoughtful research, clear communication, and meaningful relevance to real-world needs.

The 2026 competition includes the following competition categories:

Product Design,
Visual Design,
Digital Animation
Architecture & Landscape Design
Fashion Design

Participants can enter work across multiple design categories and compete for major awards and prizes, benefiting from the credibility of an established competition with international reach.

The works will be judged on their creativity, interpretation of the theme, expression of concept, and aesthetic approach.

Award Ceremony and Exhibition of winning works is scheduled for Early December, 2026.

Who may enter?

This competition is open to current students of senior high schools or higher education institutions worldwide, born after April 27, 1996 and under 30 years old (with a childbirth-related age extension rule for female applicants).

Prize:

The competition awards include 1 Grand Prix of NT$400,000 (approx. US$13,000), plus category prizes for Gold (NT$250,000), Silver (NT$150,000), Bronze (NT$60,000), and Honorable Mention (NT$10,000), each with certificates. Finalists receive digital certificates, and there are also additional special prizes such as the International Design Association Special Prize (NT$30,000), Environmental Sustainability Award (NT$100,000), and Special Region Award (NT$30,000).
