Concursos AG360, organizing company of Architecture Ideas Contests, is pleased to welcome all architects and architecture students from around the world to the International Architecture Competition, this time theme “DESERT PAVILION”.

A beach art pavilion will be created as an alternative attraction for tourists to the beach in Los Cabos, Mexico. It will have spaces for temporary exhibitions and events. The Pavilion will have a Beach Club, gazebo and dock for yachts.

The DESERT PAVILION is presented as a real and different alternative for all those who want to be in balance with the natural ecosystem, in an artistic and aquatic environment, in the midst of contemporary architecture.

An architectural element of contemplation will be created that can be visited by visitors throughout the year and can contain spaces for temporary art exhibitions and event rooms. ABOUT THE SITE

Los Cabos, in Baja California Sur is one of the most touristic places important of the Mexican Republic and the whole world. The climate is hot, with a temperature annual average of 26°C.

In addition to enjoying the wonderful views offered by the combination of sea and desert, in Los Cabos you will find a wide range of alternatives of fun and adventure tourism. San José del Cabo has become a magnificent vacation destination, a bay of great natural beauty, waters of exceptional conditions with underwater waterfalls of sand. Tourists from all over the world, they have a marvelous landscape in San José del Cabo, hotels for all tastes, fashion stores, excellent beaches and an attractive life night.

ABOUT THE DESTERT PAVILIONE

The Desert Pavilion will be developed in front of the sea on an extension of 30,000 m2 with unique topographic formations.
Located on the beach in San José del Cabo, 30 minutes from Los Cabos Airport. The area to be intervened is located on the Transpeninsular highway, with a direct view of the sea and in a privileged area full of luxury tourist developments and adventure experiences such as camping, camel rides, all-terrain cars and surfing. Its climate is semi-dry desert, hot in summer and temperate in winter. This eco-destination is remote and unspoiled, perfect for those seeking out-of-the-ordinary adventures, abundant seas, and spectacular desert.

An architectural element of contemplation will be created that can be visited by visitors throughout the year and can contain spaces for temporary art exhibitions and event rooms. The pavilion will have a Beach Club, which can be conditioned for large outdoor festivals and a Mirador as a top view of the Pavilion. His mere presence will become a milestone on the road. It will be possible to reach it through the road or by yacht through a pier that must be projected.

It should be designed as a construction that can withstand the effects of time and easy maintenance. At all times you must prioritize the natural landscape.
