MODE Fest 2021: Motion Design Education Summit once again invites students and emerging designers to submit to the third biennial MODE Fest that every year celebrates the work of students and emerging motion designers who are creating some of the most interesting, imaginative, and well-crafted motion design work today.

Short description

Motion Design Education Summit invites students and emerging designers to submit to the third biennial MODE Fest this year taking place in conjunction with the Motion Design Education Summit on June 10 - 13, 2021.

The MODE Fest celebrates the work of students and emerging motion designers who are creating some of the most interesting, imaginative, and well-crafted motion design work today.
MODE is a 4-day event bringing together educators from different areas of expertise to present work and discuss motion design and how it enhances, effects, changes messages, meaning, and communication. Motion design is a shifting and evolving sphere-it encompasses a broad range of related fields: human computer interaction, design, journalism, film, television, animation, art, dance, theater, and more. If you are a current student or recent graduate, you are invited to submit your work in one of the eleven categories.

The work must have been produced in the last two years.

All submissions will be reviewed by renowned industry professionals and respected academics. Award-winning work will be screened virtually and numerous awards will be presented at the event.

This year’s competition will be judged in two distinct modules, one on application and the other thematically, with thematic projects being able to take on any form. There is also an additional GIF Challenge on this year's theme of (re)connect.

Submission to the festival also gets you all access to the MODE Summit!
