Prisma Art Prize XV Edition: Il Varco Creative Hub presents the XV edition of the Prisma Art Prize, an international art prize born to promote emerging painters and visual artist.

➜ Short description

Il Varco organizes the 15th edition of its PRISMA Art Prize, an art prize that takes place every three months online with cash award and that will end with an annual group exhibition at the end of the fourth edition of the same year, with some of the artists that took place in the quarterly editions, chosen by the art direction. This is an art contest born to promote emerging painters and visual artists. What organizer wants is to answer a fundamental question in the current artistic context: What does painting mean today? At the base of their project, there is the constant and inclusive research and enhancement of artists from different cultural and educational backgrounds.

The goal is to create space and visibility to emerging artists, presenting an inclusive career opportunity that will span throughout 2024 involving visual artists from all over the world, regardless of age, genre and ethniciand featured in the annual catalogue of the event. Organizer is looking for paintings, drawings, graphic art and engraving of any size and on any support.

The jury is made up of artists, curators, critics from different backgrounds to ensure an inclusive approach to the selected projects.

Participants have the possibility to be exhibited at Contemporary Cluster gallery in Palazzo Brancaccio, Rome, 19 December 2024, one of the most innovative art institutions in the international contemporary panorama.

Winners of the quarterly awards will be announced by the end of August 2024.

➜ Who may enter?

Submissions to the quarterly calls are open to all living artists without limits of age, sex, nationality and ethnicity and to works of painting, drawing and engraving of any size and on any medium.

➜ Prize:

The € 500 prize will be awarded to one of the finalist artists of the edition.

The selected artists will have the opportunity to be exhibited in one of the most prestigious galleries in Rome, to be published in their print catalog and on the online gallery, to win cash and service prizes and to be interviewed by our media partner.

➜ Entry fees:

Entry fee is 29 euros (for 1-3 paintings). You can submit up to 5 additional works at a price of 5 euros per piece.
