International Sustainable Design Awards 2026

International Sustainable Design Awards 2026 is now open for entries!

The International Sustainable Design Awards 2026 (ISDA 2026), organised by the Hong Kong Arts and Sustainable Design Association (HKASD), brings together designers from around the world who are trying to answer a simple but urgent question: how can design genuinely improve the way people live while respecting the planet?

Short description

The International Sustainable Design Awards 2026 (ISDA) is a global platform closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), recognising design excellence that integrates innovation, sustainability values, and positive social impact.

Open to individuals, teams, and organisations worldwide across diverse nationalities, genders, and age groups, ISDA promotes a fair and inclusive evaluation and encourages forward-thinking solutions that respond to environmental and community needs.

The International Sustainable Design Awards brings together designers from around the world who are trying to answer a simple but urgent question: how can design genuinely improve the way people live while respecting the planet?

The programme focuses on work that connects creativity with real environmental and social outcomes, encouraging projects that move beyond aesthetics and respond to today’s sustainability challenges.

Rather than limiting participation to a single discipline or generation of designers, ISDA 2026 opens its doors widely. Architects, product designers, digital creators, fashion designers, branding specialists, and visual communicators all compete within a shared framework that values originality alongside measurable impact.

Submissions may include completed works, as well as works in progress for the Conceptual Design, provided that the projects were created within the last ten years prior to the official call for entries deadline, giving meaningful projects a second life and acknowledging that lasting design value often reveals itself over time.

Projects are reviewed by an international jury using clear criteria (creativity, sustainability, aesthetics, and impact) ensuring that winning entries demonstrate both thoughtful design thinking and practical relevance.

Winners are not only awarded titles. They are introduced to a wider professional ecosystem through exhibitions, publications, global promotion, and networking opportunities that connect designers with industry leaders and potential collaborators. The awards ceremony and ongoing promotional programme extend visibility well beyond the announcement itself, helping participants build partnerships and expand their international presence.

Who may enter?

The International Sustainable Design Awards 2026 welcomes submissions from individuals, teams, students, and organisations, without a limit on the number of entries per entrant.

Prize:

Outstanding works will receive official ISDA recognition and global promotion opportunities, including multi-platform exposure reaching millions, features in the ISDA Winners’ Special ePublication (with ISBN), dedicated advertising pages, and inclusion in the ISDA Winners’ Digital Gallery. Recognised designers and teams will also be invited to share their winning stories and brand highlights at ISDA’s annual Awards Ceremony, engaging an international audience of design leaders, brand representatives, and potential partners. To further strengthen global engagement and cross-border collaboration, winners will also gain access to the online Business Networking & Matching Session, a digital exchange platform designed to connect international winners across time zones and enable them to explore partnership opportunities beyond borders.

Entry fees:

During the Early Bird period (until 28 February 2026) entry fee is approximately USD 90.
