The Seattle International Film Festival 2027 (SIFF), one of the leading international film festivals in the United States, is now accepting submissions, inviting emerging and established filmmakers from around the world to submit their best feature films and short films.
Celebrating 53 years of presenting international and independent cinema, the Seattle International Film Festival is dedicated to discovering new voices, supporting talented filmmakers and bringing outstanding films from around the world to audiences in the United States.
The Seattle International Film Festival 2027 will take place from May 13–23, 2027 at SIFF Cinemas and other venues throughout the Seattle region. The Festival showcases films from more than 70 countries, creating an important platform for independent productions, emerging filmmakers and established directors.
Submissions are accepted in two main categories:
➜ Feature Films – films with a running time of 41 minutes or more
➜ Short Films – films with a running time of 40 minutes or less
The SIFF 2027 call for entries welcomes a wide range of filmmaking voices, genres and styles, offering selected filmmakers the opportunity to present their work to festival audiences and become part of an international celebration of contemporary cinema.
Organized by SIFF, a Seattle-based nonprofit arts organization dedicated to film discovery and arts education, the Seattle International Film Festival provides filmmakers with an opportunity to reach new audiences and share their work within a major celebration of independent and international cinema.
Eligibility
The competition is open to filmmakers from around the world, including both emerging and established directors. Eligible submissions include feature films with a running time of 41 minutes or more and short films of 40 minutes or less, across a wide range of genres and styles.

➜ Early Deadline – October 1: $75 for Feature Films / $60 for Short Films
➜ Regular Deadline – December 17: $100 for Feature Films / $80 for Short Films
➜ Late Deadline – January 7: $125 for Feature Films / $100 for Short Films
