The Pictoplasma Berlin 2022 festival has been recently opened for entries, calling for animation submissions for the “Characters In Motion” international screenings.

Pictoplasma is the world’s leading platform for contemporary character design and art. The project pushes forward interdisciplinary discussion, development and promotion of a new breed of visual vocabulary — from illustration to animation, game to interactive design, urban to graphic arts.

Pictoplasma Festival every year transforms Berlin into the world’s most exciting meeting point for a diverse scene of international artists and creatives, trailblazing the face of tomorrow’s visual culture. The ’Characters in Motion’ screenings offer an overview of international animations, short films, motion graphics, and experimental work, focusing on stylish and fresh character-driven visuals and narratives.

High-grade Characters in animation, narration, music visuals, experimental work or motion graphics, from any part of the world, are accepted.

Selected works will become part of the Characters in Motion 2022 screenings and the Pictoplasma Berlin 2022 festival program.
